I had nothing but the Gateway pc desktop. This is the first laptop and I am happy with Gatweway NV5921u! Fast, very quiet and runs cool! The blue cover looks awesome with alligator pattern! The touchpad is gesture, multi-feature! I have to get used to but neat feature! The Blu-ray player is a nice feature and display in HDTV. Time will tell how it holds up but I think this baby will keep on rockin!

Did I mention how “Light” is! Way more portable than one inch 17 laptop! The 15-inch screen can be compared with a wee one incher 17, but fine for me! A camera is also included. Grab one now!
I bought it mainly for Blu-Ray player, with an occasional hook the HD TV in the family room / bedroom, and do not need to invest in multi-player BD. Overall good machine, but I found some annoying things with Blu-ray player. It comes with power DVD8. . Especially when playing DVD, Blu-ray (1) The production can go either integrated screen or television, but not both simultaneously (2) the mouse does not work to control / select (menu etc.) should to keyboard arrows / enter key, as in the DOS days!
So I contacted gateway (via customer service “chat”), who, after “record “information and the rest of the story of my life, I say do not support” third party “things (such as Power DVD) and only hardware + OS. But here’s the kicker, will be happy if he asked me “responses from the gate, where the charge meter will start one minute call.
This camera is ok (even good but there are many out), this is where customer service and the main thing I wanted (blu-ray player) to work pretty well, sucks. I should have done more research and more stuck in «standard» brands, subsequently, learning you get what you pay for.

When I first BluRay disc I could not see the pimples on peoples faces, thats how clear it is. The only thing I had trouble with is the mouse pad that has a little mind of his own now and then, somewhat difficult to describe so I’ll show you what happens. . . . . It hopeweather is nice. . . . Skips a bit now and then, this is annoying especially when the notice after you have typed everything takes too long and then having to retype it. I just use the button “freezes” the mouse pad, and use a regular mouse. Other then that this computer is a gem, fast, and there is plenty of room. More than enough space. It’s good for a gamer or simply use as a computer business. The battery life is somewhat low, but thats never a problem for me, as I keep it connected most of the time. I think life is a little over four hours. This can be determined by the market a battery that lasts longer or change the settings of your battery. Among many other things I love about this computer, I like that the lite, easy to carry around and doesn’t weigh you down. . . . With that said, to summarize absolutly love this computer and wouldnt trade for anything!

I was besieged by the fashion backlit keyboard and large screen. I was happy with it for a few minutes then looked at the bottom of the laptop and realized that he had built up date of January 2009, my computer was already seven months. After a few weeks back in class, the case began to relax around the screen. After about two months, the keyboard started to warp and the keys started to crack. After three months, fell for the first time. customer service was horrible and the first thing he wanted to do was buy a Recovery CD. After talking for a few more techs, one found that I did not need the disk, the data was a partitioned off part of the hard disk. Crashed again a month later and went through the same thing, tried to sell me the disc and then when I told them I knew I could not restore the disk to walk back through it. The final straw was in the sixth months my property when spilled orange juice on the keyboard and fried the motherboard. I entered customer service hell. This, again, tried to sell me a restore disk even though I told them it was partly to boot. Finally, restore your computer to be sent to the Temple, TX service center. We had to give my credit card information via instant messaging with a technology factor support. He gave me instructions on the package, but neglected to tell me there was an e-mail with further instructions. I sent off my computer with the original box and power cable, which said it would not return, despite the fact that those instructions in an e-mail after I got the mail. Finally convinced them to send the repaired laptop back to me, I’m going to throw in the river Wabash, and bought a Asus.
